Understanding the kingdom of God.

"The kingdom of God is within you." Lk 17:21 NKJV

In one sense, the kingdom of God is future, eternal, and heavenly. When Christ returns to set up His kingdom on earth, the prophecy will be fulfilled: "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" (Rev 11:15 NKJV). What a glorious day that will be for all of God's redeemed children. But until then, Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." That means as a born-again believer living in this world, you're called to demonstrate what it means to live under the rule of the King of kings and Lord of lords. Winston Churchill famously quipped: "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried." All human governments are flawed and ultimately destined to fail because they are made up of flawed human beings. So as citizens of the kingdom of God, we are called to be "light" that illuminates darkness and dispels ignorance, and "salt" that flavors, cleanses, heals, and enriches the lives of those we come in contact with (see Mt 5:13-14).

We are called to practice the principles of God's kingdom in the marketplace of life.

Whether you work in

  • education,
  • transportation,
  • medicine,
  • politics,
  • agriculture,
  • IT,
  • sales,
  • manufacturing, etc.,

you are called to demonstrate the benefits of living under the rule of Christ and by the guidance of His indwelling Holy Spirit. "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord." When Christ returns, that promise will be totally fulfilled. Until then, Jesus said, "Occupy till I come" (Lk 19:13 KJV).

Opening Prayer For Transformation

SPEAKER_07

Us transformation that has been occurring in our lives as we move from glory to glory. Father Lord, we say thank you, Father Lord. Even as we're going to learn more, we pray, oh God, that you transform us again in the mighty name of Jesus. You move us higher, oh Lord, and help us to be more Christ-like even after we listen to this in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray, oh Lord, we'll not just be hearers of the word, oh God, but we'll be doers of the word in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, Lord God Almighty, we pray, oh Lord, that you speak through every one of us that will be talking, oh God. That you would, oh Lord, use us as oracles for you, Yahweh. You would, oh Lord God Almighty, give us the exact words to speak, words that will minister, oh God, words, oh Lord, that will change lives, oh God. Words, oh Lord Almighty, that will be life-giving in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, Lord God Almighty, we say thank you. We appreciate you. Thank you, Jesus, for your blood that was shed, that gave us the privilege of coming in the Holy of Holies. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for the work you've done on our hearts that makes our hearts receptive to the word and do help us to germinate fruit. Thank you, three and one God, for in Jesus' name we have prayed. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Defining The Kingdom Of God

SPEAKER_07

Good morning, good morning, everybody. Thank God for another day. Thank God for we are more than halfway through June. We thank God for life. And we jump right in today. We're talking about understanding the kingdom of God. Understanding the kingdom of God. And even as I was reading this, and I was like, okay, what does the kingdom of God represent to us? And one of the commentaries was saying, kingdom of God expresses a vision central to God, central to the reason why God sent his son to reconcile us to him. It's a new world order that where his purposes are fulfilled. It is where God reigns. Like we know here in this world, unfortunately. It is devil's playground. And there's still that tug of war between the world and the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. There's still that tug. But when we have the kingdom of God, there is no, there are no two options. It is all about God, it's all about reverencing Him, fulfilling His purpose, obeying Him, trusting Him, just like we see Jesus did. And God will help us, but when we understanding the kingdom of God is when you everything one does is to glorify God. And we see that with Jesus. And God will help us to get there to where our thought process is always how can I glorify God? Whatever we're doing, whether we're eating or we're drinking. And so today we're reading from Luke 17.

Luke 17 And Kingdom Among You

SPEAKER_07

A key Bible verse is Luke 17, 21, but I'll read from verse 20. I'll read from verse 20. And we'll read the New King James Version. And it says, Now, when he was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation, nor will they say, See here or see there, for indeed the kingdom of God is within you. This is in New King James version. But I prefer um NLT and NIV that say that that verse 21 that says the kingdom of God is in your midst, is already among you. Because, like one commentary said, Jesus is talking to the Pharisees, you know. Right then he wasn't telling them it's the kingdom of God is within them, it's not within the Pharisees. But Jesus was saying, I am the embodiment of the kingdom of God. I am the representation of that kingdom of God. Everything you believe should happen in the kingdom of God, you see in me. And like we said, when we're trying to understand the kingdom of God, is where God is reigning supreme. We see Jesus, we hear Jesus saying it over and over again. That I don't do anything unless I see my father doing it. Everything I do, I've seen my father do it. He will talk about I'm doing this to glorify the Father, that the Father may be glorified. We see him say that I have fulfilled to the last detail the purpose, the plan you have for me. We see him saying, Your will, not my will, but yours be done. Jesus embodied what the kingdom of God was like. Out of love for him, out of love for us, he defered everything was deferred to God.

Jesus As The Kingdom’s Example

SPEAKER_07

Though the good thing is just the spirit of Jesus lives within us. So we truly can say the kingdom of God is within us because the spirit of Jesus lives within us.

Romans 8 And Spirit Governance

SPEAKER_07

And if we I'm gonna go to Romans 8, I'm gonna read um a few verses just because this just shows us. So from verse 5, Romans 8, it says, Those who live according to the flesh have their mindset on what the flesh desires, but those who live in accordance with the spirit have their mindset on what the spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace. We see that word governed. And we see with Jesus, he was governed by the Spirit. The fullness of the Spirit was within him. He lived his life in accordance with what the Heavenly Father wanted. And that's why he was the embodiment of what the kingdom of God would be like. So he says the mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace. This is verse 6. 7. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God, it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. Verse 9, you, however, are not in the realm of the flesh, but are in the realm of the spirit. If indeed the spirit of God lives in you, if anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. So that's telling us here that the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ are one. And this we know that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. So verse 10 says, but if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the spirit gives life because of righteousness. And I'll jump to verse 12. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but it is not to the flesh to live according to it. We have an obligation to live according to the spirit. Because we have the spirit of God living within us, we have the spirit of Christ living within us, we have the embodiment of the kingdom of God living with us, in us. Therefore, the obligation, because of what you remember, we always talk about Romans 12. It says, out of Romans 12, 1, in view of what God has done for you, in view of what God has done for me, we should present our bodies as living sacrifices. We should crucify the flesh. The obligation is not to the flesh to live according to it, but to the spirit. And God will help us, even as we're talking about this, that understanding the kingdom of God, the kingdom of God was embodied in Jesus. Jesus' spirit lives within us. And we're obligated as heirs of the kingdom to live according to the spirit, not according to the flesh.

Royal Priesthood And Kingdom Identity

SPEAKER_07

And we won't talk about 1 Peter 2.9. A lot of us quote that all the time. 1 Peter 2.9, it says, You are a chosen people, royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special position, possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. We are chosen, which is awesome. We are royalty, we are priesthood, we are God's special possession. Hallelujah. That's awesome. For all that is so we could declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light. Because of what God has done for us, because of who we are. We've talked about it many times. If you are part of British royalty, you will behave like royalty. And that's what we ought to be doing. And God will help us in the mighty name of Jesus. So let's jump into the write-up because our time will run quickly.

Future Kingdom Hope Versus Now

SPEAKER_07

It's already run. So it says, in one sense, the kingdom of God is future, eternal, and heavenly. When Christ returns to set up his kingdom on earth, the prophecy will be fulfilled. And the prophecy is the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, and it shall reign forever and ever. Hallelujah. That's in Revelation 11:15. Like we see, like this write-up is saying, in one sense, the kingdom of God is futuristic, it's eternal, it's heavenly. Like Jesus, even when he was in front of Pilate, he said it right in front of Pilate that his kingdom wasn't of this world. Because if his kingdom were of this world, people would have come, his legion would have fought to prevent his arrest. But he said, My kingdom is not of this world yet. That's in John 18. He said, My kingdom is not of this world. People would have come down to defend me. So, in one sense, his kingdom is not here yet. And what a glorious day that would be. I continue reading. What a glorious day that would be for all of God's redeemed children. Hallelujah. When he comes back and takes his elect, when he starts ruling, when there's no tug between, you know, the very end, very end, when there's that new earth and new heaven, when there's no tug between light and darkness, when you know sin and death and the devil have all been abolished. When everything has been made right, when we have that new heaven and new earth, what a glorious day that will be. And we are all looking forward to that. But until then, Jesus said, The kingdom of God is within you. Hallelujah. We are the embodiment of the kingdom of God in the person of the Spirit of Christ. The Holy Spirit of the living God lives within us, and he is the Spirit of Christ. He is within us. That means as a born-again believer living in this world, you are called to demonstrate what it means to live under the rule of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Hallelujah. And we don't have to look too far, like we said, Jesus is our example, He's our pattern, our pattern for everything. We look to him like, how did Jesus live his life? What was he doing on earth here? And we see how he had that intimate fellowship with God, with our heavenly father. We see how he had obedience. We see how he was even humble. We see in Philippians 2 where he calls us to have the same mind that was in Christ. We should have the same attitude as Christ did. Paul said, a lot of us have not been um persecuted or tested or stretched like Jesus. You know, a lot of us are not called to um physical persecution and you know martyrdom, but we can still follow Christ's example in our total submission. When it says move, we move, when it says wait, we do we wait. We are not led by the flesh, like that romance 8 says, because a lot of us are led by the flesh, and I'm always praying that Father for myself all the time that Lord please help me. Led by emotions, led by um people's opinions. Jesus was not like that, he was governed by the spirit, the Holy Spirit that was within him. And we should also be governed by the Holy Spirit, and God will help us. So we are called to demonstrate what it means to live under the rule of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Winston Churchill famously quipped. Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried. All human governments are flawed and ultimately destined to fail because they are made up of flawed human beings. That is the truth. Inasmuch as we complain about government and all that stuff, everybody's a flawed human being. If God calls us to governmental positions, God will give us that grace to do, to glorify his name. But we're all flawed, even in the best of the best, cannot compare to the kingdom of God.

Light And Salt In Chaos

SPEAKER_07

So, as citizens of the kingdom of God, we are called to be a light that illuminates darkness and dispels ignorance, hallelujah. And salt that flavors, cleanses, heals, and enriches the lives of those we come in contact with. Hallelujah. And that is in Matthew 5, 13 to 14. Matthew 5, 13 to 14, where it says we are the salt of the earth and we are the light of the world. You don't put a light, you don't put a lamp under the table, you don't put a light under basket. That light has is for shining. We know there's so much darkness right now. In fact, Isaiah says it, Isaiah 60, I believe, there'll be darkness across the earth, gross darkness. But we're supposed to arise and shine and show forth his glory, show forth his light. We see all around us, people are complaining up and down. People are frustrated, people are in fear, people are anxious, stressed about one thing or the other. Whether it's the government here, government in other countries, whether it's inflation, one thing or the other, people are complaining, or they're expressing their fear, or expressing their anxiety, and yes, it's good for us to listen, but we should also show them that Jesus is the way, the truth, and life, that he is the stable force. He is the only security, the utmost security, is the only place that we can have security. We can be that light, we can point people to Jesus, we can be that salt that adds flavor to people's lives, that brings healing, that illuminates people's lives. That is what we're called to be, and God will help

Kingdom Living In The Workplace

SPEAKER_07

us. So we are called to practice the principles of God's kingdom in the marketplace of life. Whether you work in education, transportation, medicine, politics, agriculture, IT, sales, manufacturing, etc. You are called to demonstrate the benefits of living under the rule of Christ and by the guidance of His indwelling Holy Spirit. Hallelujah. No matter where you are, we say it all the time on this platform. Wherever you are, is your mission filled? Wherever you have, you are not a creature of chance. God is sovereign, God is in charge of everything. He's in control. Where you are, you are there for a reason. And that is where you're supposed to be shining your light. That is where you're supposed to be flavoring people's lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. That is where you're supposed to, people are supposed to look at you and see you as a sign and a wonder unto the Lord. Where people can be like, oh my gosh, everything is so overwhelming, life is so stressful, life is this, life is that. But they can see the peace of God upon you in the midst of the chaos, in the midst of anxiety, in the midst of instability. Because we know that in the day of Jesus, that's why they were asking them, when is the kingdom coming? How can we know when the kingdom is coming? They wanted assurance that they were going to be delivered from the Roman rule, and Jesus is saying that you are looking for the wrong thing. There will always be something in this world we're in. There will always be some instability, or you need to submit yourself to the Holy Spirit and live under the governorship and rulership of the Holy Spirit, then you have security no matter what is going on, and that is what we need to communicate to everybody around us, too. That there's a lot of instability, but with Jesus, we can have stability. When we subject ourselves and are governed by the Spirit, we can have stability, we can have peace, we can have security, and God will help us get there. So the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord. Hallelujah. That is that prophecy. When Christ returns, that promise will be told. Totally fulfilled what a glorious day that will be.

Occupy Till I Come

SPEAKER_07

Until then, Jesus said, occupy till I come. That is Luke 19:13. Occupy till I come. It means that you be his hands and feet until he comes. Like we always say on this platform, too. We have been left on earth for a purpose. We have a mission here that God wants us to fulfill. Otherwise, he would have taken us. Once we became born again. But we we are an answer to somebody's prayer. That is why we're here. And we're supposed to be his hands and feet. Showcasing his glory, showing forth his light, being his salt. Wherever we are. Showing what life under the governorship of the spirit can be like. And when we can do that, and other people will do that too, that'll make the world a much better place. And God will help us in the mighty name of

Why Purpose Matters For Christians

SPEAKER_07

Jesus. The floor is open for contributions, please. The floor is open for contributions.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much, Satulum. Thank you. God bless you. Um on your busy schedule. Um thank God for your life, your dedication, and your commitment to this platform. Uh, the Lord will continue to dedicate hosts of angels to you to assist you in all ways in the name of Jesus. Thank you so much.

Learning Kingdom Rules Through Surrender

SPEAKER_01

Um, I mean, the topic of today is basically the uh the reason why we the Christian are living. It's the reason why we're living. Because what's the point of being a Christian when um you don't understand um uh what your purpose is, why you're doing what you're doing, why are we Christian? Why are we following the uh the the step of Christ? It is because we want to reign in that kingdom, and uh if we are trying to reign in a kingdom and we don't understand um how the kingdom operates, then we will just be living at a loss or at um at a at the at a at the rate of um ignorance, at the rate of of um of um I I'm I'm trying to look for English word that would say uh we will be at a loss and we will just be we just say nothing. Not nothing. We we will not have a goal, we will not have any. Because when you leave, let's bring it home to ourselves. We live in a nation before we came here, Nigeria. It's a country of its own. There are things that we do over there that when we do it over here, uh we will get in trouble. And when we came, when we left there and came here, we have to learn a lot of ways that are different from the way that we're in, we were in. And all those processes took learning. It doesn't just happen one day, even till tomorrow, we are still learning to adapt to what this nation is about in the rules, the regulation, the the policy, the procedure, the way of interaction, the way of speech, uh, in every other way to be able to measure up to what the nation demands of. Then let's now look at it in God's kingdom. How much time do we spend in the word of God to try and understand what is what God's really, really saying about his kingdom as a king? Because when there is a kingdom, there is a king in that kingdom, and the king in that kingdom knows the rules that he wants people to obey in his kingdom, and he writes that constitution for them to start following the principle in which he wants them to operate, and that's the kingdom of God, and you've stressed you stress it so much that the only person that God has given us to teach us how to live in his kingdom, to understand this kingdom is the Holy Spirit. But Holy Spirit will not operate until we fully surrender, until we're fully committed, until we're fully saying, Yeah, truly, you are the only one that knows more than I do. That means we must crucify the flesh, that means we must let go of anything that is us and let everything about him. It's not an easy task. Because remember now, there are things that we were born into, that there are things that we've we are acquainted to, there are things that we have already become part and parcel of. That this spirit of God will have to come into our life and then weed them out little by little. And if we don't release those things to be weeded out, we're holding on to them, we're not releasing them for him so that he can go and uproot them out completely. We will not be able to function with what he wants us to for how he wants us to function. We many of us are carrying weight of unnecessary things because we have not surrendered to the Holy Spirit to teach us what God's expectations are. Jesus is a perfect example. Say, Me and my father are one. I do nothing except what my father said I should do. And who is he referring to? It is the spirit of God in him because when it got gathered the baptism and the Bible, the word of God said, This is my beloved son. What came in upon him is the spirit of God descended upon him, said this is my beloved son in whom I am well placed. And the second time, the same thing happened, the voice came from heaven in the in the in the mount of transfiguration that this is my beloved son, in whom I'm well placed. Whatever it tells you to do, do it. So those are the things that Jesus showed as an example that total surrender, total reliance, total in in the word that we never allow anything else to take his place. The kingdom of God is not of this world, it's not of this world, and total fulfillment of the word of the of the Holy Spirit in us requires our total surrendering. Maybe it's an hour, the write-up made declared. It's a we are called to practice the principle of the kingdom. It's a songwriter that says, uh, righteousness, peace, and joy, joy in the Holy Ghost, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. That's the kingdom of God. Righteousness produces the joy in the Holy Spirit. And how do you obtain righteousness of God? Surrendering to the work of the cross, give yourself into the word of God, and then the spirit of God start within out every dirt, every bitterness, every anger, every unforgiveness, everything that is tying us down, that sin that we don't physically uh we sometimes we don't know they're there until we get somebody getting into our nerve. Then they come out, they pop out like a like a two hundred egg a dead devil. They're dead. But before they pop out, Holy Spirit will pinch us to say, No, don't react to that. But we yield if we are not in full surrender. I mean, I was listening. A preacher was preaching to say, um, can people lose their salvation? When if they lose their salvation, that means they never have salvation in the in the first instance. And this means that if you do not have the spirit of God in you, you're not of Christ. We are not of Christ. If you don't have the spirit of God in you, you're not of Christ. So when the bad behavior wants to occur and there is nothing in you to tell you the bad behavior, and you yield to that thing that said, don't do it, then you don't have the spirit of God in you if you do it, you are not surrendered to that spirit in you if you do it. Because when you surrender to the listen, give yourself as a living sacrifice, recorded by Romans show everyone as a living sacrifice, meaning that even if I go through difficult time, when people are actually even putting the ton of crown on my head and I'm not gonna react, they put the nail in my hand and I'm not gonna react. They put the slab on my side and I'm not gonna react, even though I am their creator, I am not gonna react because they speak on my face, even though I am the creator, they kill me, and I'm not gonna react because I am surrendering myself to the one that that owns the heaven and earth that sent me on the that's what I'm gonna you do. He yielded fully to the Holy Spirit, and it's expecting us to do the same thing. That is the kingdom of God, that is the kingdom of God, and we can't get there until we get ourselves more into his word to learn about him. But I always say this and I appreciate him for that. How do we know him if we don't learn about him? How do we walk with him when we don't know him? How do we know what God expects of us if we don't study him? May God help us in the mighty name of Jesus. This is deeper than what we're living today, but I pray the Holy Spirit will expand more into our heart. That understanding the kingdom of God, it is not just for fun, it's not just for show, it's not just for label, it's not just because you say I'm a Christian and I go to church and I do this and no, it isn't about that. It's about you living a life that is transformative, that people can see and say, Yes, I know this is the type of person this person, because the spirit of God lives in that person. Whenever you touch him, whenever you do even things that belong to him, he still comes back to show love. That is the kingdom of God because that is when you become effective in transforming other people's life. Do you want people to see you and come to Christ, or people to see you and run away from Christ? It's a choice, and if we continue to live in the flesh, people will be running away from Christ, but if we continue to live in the spirit, people will be coming to Christ, and may God help us to live that life in Jesus' name. Sorry, if you have noise on my background, apologize for that. Thank you so much, ma'am.

SPEAKER_07

No, no, there's no noise.

Three Anchors: Cross Word Spirit

SPEAKER_07

Thank you, sir. Thank you. Understanding the kingdom of God, surrendering to the cross, consuming the word, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. That is those three things very important. And I like what you said, sir. Being God focused when Jesus was so God focused, not self-focused, so that whenever anything is even happening to us, our thought process is how is this glorifying God? We are so God focused, so heaven-minded, so kingdom focused. That's why Jesus didn't react to a lot of things. His mind was always on the higher thing. What is my purpose? What is my goal? This is small, I cannot be distracted. I cannot be distracted, and this is why Jesus was even telling the Pharisees. It's not about this is here, this is there. Don't be distracted by all that stuff. Don't keep the main thing, the main thing. That is why we're here to keep the kingdom of God at the forefront of our minds and to live it in our everyday lives. God will help us in Jesus' name. Thank you so much, sir. Thank you. More contributions, please.

Rehearsing Heaven With Daily Check-Ins

SPEAKER_06

Good morning, sister Tolu.

SPEAKER_07

Good morning, man. Good morning, man.

SPEAKER_06

Thank you so much for how you have taken today's devotion. Understanding the kingdom of God. Thank you, Pastor, for your contribution and reminding us that we need to be God focused. When I read this this morning, a song came to my mind, and that is um this song. We are heir of the father, we are joint air with the law, we are children of the kingdom.

SPEAKER_05

You see, that we are talking about the kingdom of God here, and he's saying God is the father. You have quoted a number of scriptures that tell us that Jesus is uh is associated with God. In fact, he is God himself, and he just doesn't do things of his own volition. If we are heirs of the father and joint heir with the Lord, it means while we are here, while we are still on earth, God is expecting us to begin to rehearse heaven, to rehearse his kingdom, you know. In the right-up, there is this stuff that every government has failed. I don't even want to talk about any government at all, you know. But because the fear of God isn't in any any any setup, they are self-focused in the kingdom of God, it says the kingdom has come to us. I think the blood of Jesus has done this for us, it has paid for that sacrifice for us to become citizens of the kingdom to become an American citizen, you know what it entails, and that is the situation in virtually many countries. You have to go through some things, you have that there has to be uh uh uh a migration so spiritually, so for us to become ears of that kingdom, to even become members of that kingdom, we need to be translated from the kingdom of darkness into his marvelous light, a scripture that you quoted when we are translated into that new being, a new creature, all things are supposed to pass away, all things belong to the old kingdom where we are coming from, but the new kingdom that we are supposed to be rehearsing here, we're supposed to be God focused, you know. You quoted hospital too night. Well, you are looking at it that uh you are you have been chosen, it's not just by chance. There are so many people they had the the they they had the message, they've been hearing it over and over and over again, and yet they have refused to change. The Bible calls them children of perdition. But those of us that have been called, those of us that have been chosen, those of us that have become royal priesthood, all that this is telling us is begin to rehearse the kingdom here because it's already within you. Jesus himself is the king there, the ear of the father, and we are joint ears, of course, is only a bastard who will behave outside what he's been taught. You know, when you talk about royalty, if you see if you see this um uh what do they call them? This the children of kings generally, they carry an aura around. Earth kings, even earthly kings, your boss we say aki room sakilai. When you see people in royalty, even their dressing enough will tell you, even the speech will tell you, and that is the kind of thing that is expected of us. But our own royalty is different from this one here. Our royalty is the one that continues on a regular basis to show that we are here of the Father, just like Jesus would do, those are the things we will have to do. It's not easy for us, but it is achievable. Yes, if we if if we fix our mind, if we're if we get focused. Like I said some time ago, my pastor back home used to say, uh uh uh you check per second checking is one of the ways that we can keep in track. Because when we were in the world, we were behaving like the world, we have the language of the world, we have the dealings of the world, all the crookedness in the world is what we had. But when we became translated, those things are supposed to go away, but it does not go away immediately. It takes ages in some people, and many times, if we are not guarded, they still rear their ugly heads, but even when they do, the Bible says, Shall we continue in sin and ask grace to abound? It says no, even when they when such things come, we must be able to stand up and say, No, this is my past, this can't overtake me again. No, I'm a new creation, all things are passed away. So I see it as a call to rehearsal, a life of total obedience, like you have said, total surrender, a determined life. We need to be determined to understand the kingdom of God. So we need to begin to practice from here, you know. When we have been called, when we have been chosen to become the priesthood, a royal one, we begin to behave royalty. Royalty is, I mean, it smells in us, like the writer talked about uh in the marketplace, exhibiting your royalty wherever, wherever we find ourselves, we must be able to.

SPEAKER_04

And when we desire and we decided, and we are determined, God will help us in the name of Jesus. Thank you very much.

SPEAKER_07

Thank you, Ma. Thank you for that. This is the truth. This is a rehearsal. This is a taste of what we're going to have. This is God telling us to start behaving like we will be behaving in the new kingdom, the new heaven, and new earth. Like mommy said it's not easy, but it's achievable. We see Paul like we always talk about it. Paul is a human being too, like us. God helped him to put his body under subjection. God can help us too. Like Mommy said, we meaning to God, we ask God for grace. We ask the Holy Spirit for second check-in, knowing that we are very, very vulnerable. Knowing we cannot do it on our own. Knowing the Holy Spirit can help us. God will help us to be totally yielded to the Holy Spirit, submitted to Him, so that we can live by the Spirit and not by the flesh. So we can really behave like the royalty that we are. So that's key. If we're really always asking the Holy Spirit to remind us that we are royalty, to remind us that we need to behave like royalty, to remind us to put ourselves in check. The Holy Spirit will do that. Because, like mommy said, sometimes you know, the old man you know would pop into. Head or the Holy Spirit can help us. Do we have any other contributions? No, time is far spent, but do we have any other? Thank you so much, Ma. Thank you so much, Pastor. I appreciate those powerful contributions. The key in all this, Pastor said it. Pastor and mommy said both both of them emphasized it. Keeping our mind on God, being God focused, knowing that we're here, we are royalty, we are joint heirs with the Sun. We're supposed to be behaving in the manner worthy of our calling.

SPEAKER_03

Amen.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, good one.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, man. Thank you. Sorry for you know cutting you off. I'm so sorry.

Choice And Fruit That Proves The Kingdom

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, praise the Lord. Thank you so much, Sister Tulu. Thank you, Pastor. Thank you, uh Momilada for and looking at today's topic because of our time, I'll quickly go straight to my point. You know, and I like the Bible passage that was given to us today that was talking about Luke 17, 21. He said, The kingdom of God is within us. How do we know that the kingdom of God is within us? It's truly that the kingdom of God is within us. Because the moment that God made us, the Bible said he breathed his breath within us, he breathed his breath. That's one. The breath of God is the Holy Spirit that is within us. And another thing for us to know that the kingdom of God is within us. Is when we were the Bible also makes us to understand that we were created in the image of God. Do we now see that the kingdom of God is within us? Is the breath of God that we are carrying every day? Aside from the breath of God that is within us, is also created us in his image. That's another point for us to know. And aside from all those two things, when Jesus came, he said, I'm I'm going, so I can leave you with the Holy Spirit. So the kingdom of God is within us. I think where we are actually making, you know, the where we're falling is that the choice that we have, because God gave us choice, it's up to us if we want to live as that king or the prince or the you know or that special horn by God. So it's now left to us to make a you know a choice that, okay, this kingdom of God that is within me, and those one that want to live as that those that have the kingdom of God within them, those are the people that you will see them exhibiting what is called humility, those are the people you see demonstrating obedience, those are the people you know demonstrating what is called kindness, all those fruits of the spirit, those are the people that you will see, you know, that operate or exhibiting what is called forbearances, everything. Those are the people that don't do not seek themselves, you know, that they are selfless, those are the people that you will see that yes, the kingdom of God is within those people. And when Jesus Christ came, those are the things that we saw in him, and that's the reason why I like what Sister Tolu said, that the Bible says that everything that I'm doing, I'm not doing it by myself. It is by the guidance of God, the word that God has laid upon me. And that's the reason why I said humility, obedience. And that you can see, because he recognized that the spirit of God is within him, also, he also humbled himself to the point of the cross. And those are the ones some, I think Pastor was the one that made mention of forgiveness, spirit. Those are the ones that does not exhibit anger, heavy, jealousy. Those are the ones you will see them when you see them, you will know that yes, come obviously, this kingdom of God is within them. So the kingdom of God is within all believers that accepted Christ as their Lord and personal savior. But how to exhibit it? Going back to what Pastor said, the word of God, going back to what mommy in that appointment said, you we have to be deliberate. May the Lord help us because of time in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank you so much, ma'am thank you, ma.

SPEAKER_07

Thank you so much for that contribution. So surrendering to the cross, consuming the word of God, yielding to the spirit, and being intentional. Thank you,

Salvation Prayer And Next Steps

SPEAKER_07

Ma. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, um, you would not have the Holy Spirit within you, even though our Heavenly Father breathed in us at the beginning because of sin, that Spirit died. But we have all been made alive through the power of the cross. That is what Pastor was saying, surrendering to the cross. We have all sinned, we've all fallen short of the glory of God, and that made us separate from our Father. But Jesus came to die for us so we could be reconciled back to God and so we could have the Holy Spirit. If you admit today that you're a sinner, believe in your heart that Jesus came to die for you. Just say this short prayer. Say, Lord Jesus, I surrender myself to you. I know that you have died for me. I accept your gift on Calvary so your spirit can come in within me. I accept you in Jesus' name. Amen. If you have said a small prayer, welcome to the kingdom of God. Um the next step is to grow in your relationship with God to get to know more about God. Go to a Bible-believing church next to you. They will lead you in the next steps. If you don't know what a Bible-believing church is or you don't have one close to you, go to rccg.org, rccg.org, and put in your location. A redeemed Christian Church of God will come up close to you. If you are in the DMV area, we're at rccgantilly.org, rccghantilly.org. Our location is on there, our phone number is on there. Come talk to a pastor, come talk to a minister, they will lead you in the next steps so you can um go further in your surrendering, go further in your study of the word, and go further in your um yielding to the Holy Spirit. And for the rest of us, we've heard it, those are the three things to do surrender, yield, um be deliberate about your relationship with the Holy Spirit, and meditate on the word, and the Lord God will help us in the mighty name of Jesus.

Closing Prayer And Grace

SPEAKER_07

Amen. And so, Heavenly Father, we say thank you. We appreciate you, we glorify your holy name. Thank you for what you have taught us, oh God. Helping us realize, oh Lord, we need to be God focused, we need to be totally yielded, we need to be surrendered, we need to be governed by the spirit, not by the flesh. Father, Lord God Almighty, we pray you help us, oh God, with that per second check, oh God, where we'll always, oh Lord, checking with the Holy Spirit, we'll always yield to the Holy Spirit, we'll always surrender to him so that we will be living our lives by the Spirit and not by the flesh in the mighty name of Jesus. Help us not to be a reproach to you, oh God. Help us, oh Lord God Almighty, to always be light wherever we are, to always be subtle wherever we are, to be ambassadors, oh God, of you and of your kingdom, oh God, that people will see us and they'll see you. May we decrease and may you increase, oh Lord, in every way in our lives in the mighty name of Jesus. Father Lord, we say thank you for this word that has come. We pray that we'll be doers and not just hearers, oh Lord, that your name may be glorified. Thank you, eternal rock of ages. We appreciate you, King of Kings, for in Jesus' name we have prayed. Amen. And let us share the grace and fellowship. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us with us now, now forevermore. Amen.

SPEAKER_06

Surely God's goodness and mercy shall follow all the days of alive and the house of the Lord forever and ever and ever.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. And the one the Lord has the Lord has blessed, so shall it be in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.

SPEAKER_07
