If you’ve ever wondered, “Is that God speaking or is that just me?”, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to stay stuck in confusion. We talk about the difference between knowing Christian truth and actually living a Spirit led life where your choices, reactions, and relationships start to look like Jesus. The heartbeat is simple: learn to be led, and learn it on purpose.
We begin with the foundation that makes everything else possible: receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. From Ephesians 1, we unpack how the Holy Spirit is God’s gift and guarantee, not a reward for perfect behavior. Then we move into the daily habits that make us attentive: surrender, abiding, prayer, and yielding to God’s Word. John 16 anchors the promise that the Spirit of truth guides us into all truth, which means guidance is real, but it also means we must get quiet enough to hear it.
From there, we get practical with Romans 8 and Galatians 5: the tug of the flesh versus the leading of the Spirit, and what fruit should show up when we’re truly being guided. We also wrestle with discernment, how to recognize God’s voice among competing voices like fear, social media, and well meaning advice. One story lands the point in a vivid way: a ship captain obeys an inner urging to change course and ends up saving sixteen lives, a picture of what can happen when obedience gets louder than noise.
If you want to grow in spiritual discernment, Christian obedience, and a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit, press play, then share this with a friend and leave a review. What’s one area where you want to hear God more clearly this week?

Opening Prayer And Surrender
SPEAKER_05Again, with bless give you all adoration for your graciousness, for your goodness over our lives. And of the abundance of who you are, that we can gather even the medium that we're using.
SPEAKER_04It is the fact that you've given us life and equipment to be able to gather you. But I come and take your place in our mist as we gather the fellowship in truth and in spirit with you.
SPEAKER_03Father, come and lead us and guide us, O Lord. The grace, O Lord, to surrender, to truly yield, so that we can be filled with your spirit.
SPEAKER_05And we can be led by time in everything we do. And we can be united in you in Christ Jesus.
SPEAKER_04Father, we plead for mercy and grace, O Lord, this morning for you to cleanse us of all forms of unrighteousness. We play the Lord of Jesus over this medium of our hearts, O Lord. Let your kingdom come, Father. Let your will be done with peace on heaven in our hearts, in our message, in our community. As we fellowship with you, Father, come and reveal your mind and cleanse all forms of unrighteousness. Amen.
Why Learning To Be Led
SPEAKER_05Good morning, everyone. We bless God for God and our time in his presence. Today's topic, it is very important.
SPEAKER_03But this one learn to be led. The call is for us to learn to be led. For us to learn it. To learn it, we have to truly first receive Christ as our Lord and Savior. We need to first receive Him in our heart. As we confess Him, we have God's Spirit, as we confess Christ by faith, we have God's Spirit with us. He's imputed that with us. And that is very important for us to know that first. That as we confess Christ, we have it. But now for us, for us to not be led by the Spirit, we need to truly be able to yield in the place of, you know, there's multiple things that when I was reading, it came up, but in the place of full surrender, that is, you know, as we surrender, then we begin to be, you know, yielding to the spirit. And what then we're going to read scriptures that you know inspires us and reveals God's will and mind for us in this particular place because we're yielding to God, leading us as we have confessed that Christ is our Lord and our Savior. And the call is for us to truly surrender to Him. You know, when you think about that Romans 12, where we used to say, you know, out of the abundance of what Christ has done, what is our response? Our response is to give ourselves fully to it in a place of surrender. You know, the first thing is it's a daily surrender. You know, because it's as we how do we learn, you know, that is important to be led. It is by giving ourselves in a place of surrender. And and also in a place of surrendering is by yielding to God's word, because that is also surrendering. We're yielding to His or meditating on His presence, John 15 reveals to us for us to truly be able to live an eternal life. When you think about it, we'll call fruitfulness, blossom, or another word that was used there was flourish. It is by the Spirit that we can truly flourish. Because when you think about the call, the concept of separation from who God is, but now we've been in Christ Jesus. By faith, we have received it. And for us now to be able to now flourish and be fruitful and leave that eternal life is for us to surrender, yield in a place of meditating on who God is so that we can be calm and we can, and now we are very attentive. And the third one is for us to be alive. Because if we are not surrendering, if you are not yielding a place of meditation and prayer, then we won't be alive to what the spirit is leading and revealing to us. Then as we are alive, then now the call next step is for us to be able to now step into what the spirit is leading us. Everything is encompassing when you think about what our devotion is going to reveal to us, it is very important. He said, learn to be like first, we have to receive Christ as our Lord, then we will surrender. Like we said, the Hebrews, I mean Romans 12. As we surrender, then we yield to God's presence, his word. That is also an art of surrender. And we are a lot as we are united. But as we abide in him and we abide in him, then we can ask the father because now we are a lot to what the will of God is. Now we are asking in line with his will. And as we are asking in line with his as we are a lot to what the father is revealing to us through his spirit, then we can step in faith and truly be able to live a life of fruitfulness, flourishing, and blessing. And that is why the call for us today is learn to be led by the spirit. And I hope God will reveal more to us in Christ Jesus because this is key for us. Because the concept of us truly saying that we are followers of Christ, this is the art of Christian life because Christ died for us so that we can truly be united with the Father. And for us, if we're united with the Father, he revealed multiple things for us.
Sealed With The Holy Spirit
SPEAKER_03I think we should start a scriptural reading by going into the first scripture that I have today that will lead to what Christ revealed to us in the book of John 16. But first, let's read the book of Ephesians 1 today. We're going to read our Romans. In verse 13. And now you gentiles have also heard the truth. The good news that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance, he promised, and he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so that we could praise him and glorify him. So as we accept him, like he said in verse 13, he said, and you have heard this good news, and God saves you, that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, you know, like I said from the beginning, as we believe, he has identified you as his own by giving you a spirit. But now, since we've confessed him by faith, right? Our lordship, now he has given us a spirit. But now, for us to truly be able to now truly function in this new place of privilege, it is to now learn to know God's spirit. One of the things that Christ revealed to us also in the book of John 16 was and I read from verse 8 of that John 16. The revelation that came here was that I say, and when he comes, the spirit that got Christ already promised us as we accept, and you think about the the the apostles, he said they should wait, even though the spirit was available, but he should wait so that they can truly receive it by faith. If we are not attentive, if we're not surrendering to the spirit that we've received through faith, then we won't be able to be led by it, to be able to function in that place. Because you say when he said in the perspective of lead, is it's a daily guidance, guidance and empowerment. That is the description of lead. It's an encompassing, we're guided daily, we're we're empowered daily to function in this new place that Christ has brought us. He said, He said, It will, you know, when it comes, you know, it will you know convict the world of its sin and God's righteousness and coming judgment. The world's sin is that it refuses to believe in me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father and you will see me no more. Judgment will come because the rule of this world has already been judged in verse 12. There's so much I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now. When the spirit of the truth comes, it will guide you into all truth. It will not speak on his own, but it will tell you what he has heard, it will tell you about the future, it will bring me glory by telling you whatever it receives from me, and all that belongs to the Father is mine. This is why I said the spirit will tell you whatever it receives from me. So the call is like I said, is the art of our of our Christian Christian life to truly surrender, to yield, and be led by the spirit. So and as we are gonna read that book of so let's go into that Romans 8
No Condemnation In Romans 8
SPEAKER_03and up. If you guys can give me our read verse, I'll start from this one live by the spirit, a new living translation from it says, So now there's no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus, he's those who truly belong, right? And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving spirit has freed you from it, the power of sin, at least a death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do, he sent his own son in a body like the bodies we sinners have, and in the body, God declared an end to sin's control over us by giving his son as a sacrifice for our sin. He did this so that the just requirement of the law will be fully satisfied for us who no longer follow our sinful nature, but instead follow the spirit. So these good, this way, place of privilege, this way that God created, he did it for us for those ones that are being led by the spirit as they accept Christ as a Lord as even now. The call the call is to fully surrender so that we are being learned daily, we have been guided, we have been empowered to now live in this new place of privilege as we have accepted it. It's a when follow the spirit. So those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death, but letting the spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God, it's it's never did obey God's laws and they will, and it never will. That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. In verse 9. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature, you are controlled by the spirit. If you have the spirit of God living in you, and remember that those who do not have the spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all. So, for first, like I say, the art of our faith, it is for us to truly have the spirit and being led by it to be able to live out God's will and purpose, because like flesh doesn't agree with the way of Christ, and Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, right? The spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The spirit of God who raised you from the dead lives in you, and just as God has raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same spirit living within you. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. But if you leave by his dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will leave. For all who are led by the spirit of God are the children of God. Hallelujah. Those who are led, those who are guided and empowered by them surrendering and yielding in a place of meditation in his word, in his presence, and being allowed to what the spirit is revealing, and now taking a step of it, those are the children of God. So you have not received the spirit that makes you fearful slave. Instead, you have received God's spirit when he adopted you as his own son, as his own children. So now we call him our father. For his spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ, we are we are heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share and suffer. And his place of suffering is a place, you know. Yeah, I like the way scripture always puts suffering in this place, but that is truly living. But yeah, you know, it's like denying self. You know, Christ will always say, like, you know, if you truly want to be my follower, you have to deny yourself and carry your cross. In this place, suffering, you know, the way he sounds, but it it is the way he sounds, but it is also for something glorious, not for something that you know the mods or things or things that we treasure, but it's a it's an eternal treasure that he has, and also this same verse, it is it is still the same outlook that comes in the book of Galatians 5,
Galatians 5 And Spiritual Fruit
SPEAKER_03also. And we know this because this is exactly it's just it comes in the place of the people of Galatian in this particular place, but it's also the same way that we yield to the spirit of Galatians 16 and 5, 16 says, So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives, because that is the way to truly live an eternal life, and that is why our topic is a learn to be led, because if you are not led, we are not truly living, we are just you know coasting. It's a learn, so I say to you, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives, then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the spirit wants, and the spirit gives us desires that are opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions, but when you are directed by the spirit, you are not under the obligation of the law. And the call is for us to learn to be directed by the spirit. Sexual immorality, impurity, loss for pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, or still a quarrel and jealousy outputs of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other things like this. Hallelujah. When you think about it, even full stop you think about it, you start saying things, these characteristics and these features and attributes, do we have these things? It is because we are not truly giving us up and we're not learning that being allowed by all in his presence. He says, Let me tell you again, as I said, as as I have before, there are anyone living this sort of life who not inherited the kingdom of God, and that is it, it's the heart of it. We are not truly his children. If you are not lead being led to live on eternal see, but the Holy Spirit produces kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There's no law against these things. Those who belong to Jesus have nailed the passion and desires of that sinful nature to his cross and crucify them there. Since we are living by the spirit, let us follow the spirit's lead in every part of our life. Let's not look, let's not become conceited or provoke one another or be jealous of one another. You know, if we are living, and but right now, Gaullet has been said, we are for us to truly say we are Christ's followers, his true followers. We have to lead, lead, you have to be led by his spirit, just like a revelation came for. It says, if you are a redeemed child of God, then the Holy Spirit lives within you, and it will guide you towards God's blessing for your own life and towards opportunity to bless other. Hallelujah. This is if you are redeemed, like I said from that Ephesians 1, as we believe in Him, we'll receive His Spirit as a guarantee that we are truly His children. Hallelujah. So from that place, then we need to know it. You know, also in the book of John 1, the revelation that came there for us is for those who believe in him. He has given them. Let's even read it. They said, uh, I'll read John John 1. Uh I'll read from verse 10. He said, He came into the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him, he came to his own people and they rejected him. But to all who believe, then name in verse 12 and accepted him, he gave the right to become the children of God, and they are reborn, not with a physical birth, birth resulting from human passion or plant, but a birth that comes from God. Hallelujah. So for us, if we truly say if you are redeemed, child of God, the end, the Holy Spirit lives within you, and it will guide you towards God's blessing for your own life and towards the opportunity to bless others. So if we are not yielding to this spirit, if we're not being alive, we won't be able to truly even know his will for us to be able to now manifest it, right? To to to be influencers in our own life and also in other people. In some cases, your ability and willingness to overrule reason, turn out well-meaning advice of others, and be led by God's spirits. God's spirits can make a world of different for some in need. Hallelujah. And that is very key. Sometimes, you know, something, you know, that's what I always think about from the perspective of some things might look good for us, but most importantly, but is that what is most necessary at that particular time? Let's think about it for Moses, right? Standing up for his people while they were being beaten that led him to murder that person. You know, he stood up for them in that thing, you know, good intentions, but it was resulted in murder. But God was molding him for something greater, but you know, the urge to live out God's will in his own terms led to that particular place. And it took him a while to come into that, you know, into God's will for his life. And that happens to the best of us. But he said, Yeah, the ability and the willingness to overrule reason, to not well-meaning advice of others, and be led by God's spirit can make a world of difference in someone's name. And that is key for us. Because if we are not surrendering, then we won't be able to truly yield in the place of prayer and in presence and God's word to not be alive to what the spirit is telling us part time and for us to not take next steps because we are being we'll be crowded by a noise of, oh, these are the good things. We'll be starting crowded by legality and morality instead of being led part-time to do God's will.
A Captain Listens And Saves Lives
SPEAKER_03Admiral Sir Thomas Williams was in command of a ship that routinely crossed the Atlantic. His cause brought him inside of Ascension Island, which was unhabited. Most of the time, it was barely visible on the horizon during the crossing when St. Thomas felt a great hord to steer his vessel towards it. The closer he came to the island, the greater the urgency he felt. When he gave the order to the head of the island, to a to aid for the island, his lieutenant officer respectfully pointed out that such a course change will greatly delay that. Hallelujah. And when you think about it, in a legal standpoint, in the way we've been taught in the world, right, it is to follow rules and regulation. Right? The call is, but if God is the one leading us, the call is for us to be able to be alert. And how can we be alert without truly surrendering, without having a spirit, without yielding in a place of in his presence and meditating on his word so that we can hear that you hear? They say this is the way to go. But we have to be able to learn, we have to be able to truly yield, to be able to hear that word and now be able to be empowered to take the step to go. In this place, what the lieutenant was saying was right, changing course is not, but in this particular place, he was able to crowd out that noise and yield to God's spirit. Even so, the admiral remained intent. The inner urgents, which had which he had come to recognize as God's guiding him, was very strong. And the ship near, as the ship neared the island, the screw spotted a white flag. It must be a signal, Williams concluded. Sure, it Off on the beach with 16 men who'd been shipwrecked many days before. They were starving and nearly giving up. 16 lives were saved that day because a man learned to listen to and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit within him. And you came too. The true children of God are those who are who let God's spirits lead them. But the call is we have to learn to do this. It is not something that comes with us natural. Just like we said, the flesh comes with us naturally. The call is for us to truly surrender out of the abundance of what God has given us. Like I said in that book of Romans, so forth, our response is to surrender. And as we surrender, we are yielding, we are uniting ourselves. It goes well. Like you would that's why that John 15 is very, very key for us as Christians. As we abide and He abides in us, what we are asking for is in line with His will. Because His Spirit is revealing the mind of God to us. And we are manifesting because we are alive now, because we can recognize His voice and He's leading us. Even though to us, legalistically, this is the path to take. But God is telling us that is the way of life. And He is the way, the truth, and the life in the first place. But most of us, you know, how can we get to this place where we can these inner knowledge, the Spirit of God leading us becomes louder than you know what the enemy is telling us, or what even you know, the best of intent and guidance around us is telling us based on what we've learned. And that is the key for us today. That is the call. The call is for us to yield to God's words. You see, being led by the Holy Spirit, allowing God's word to guide our daily actions, decisions, and character, to show us how to live joyfully, obedient lives that produce beauty of holiness and glorify God. So that we can truly flourish lost through his guidance and empowerment. And I hope God will help us. Let's have contribution this morning. Learn to be led by God's spirit.
SPEAKER_05Hallelujah.
Group Reflections On Discernment
SPEAKER_09Thank you so much, sir. Thank you. I like all those Bible passages that was actually used because that laid the foundation of the power of the Holy Spirit in our life. Do we have any contribution this morning? You know, that's that's actually you know laid the foundation because sometimes it is really very better for uh it's very good for us to understand you know what's are we deriving for a particular thing?
SPEAKER_05Anybody with us this month you all hear me?
SPEAKER_07Hello, Pastor Mrs. is talking.
SPEAKER_08Can you hear me?
SPEAKER_06I can hear you, ma'am. We are hearing you. It's like something is wrong with either side. Maybe they contacted.
SPEAKER_08Oh, okay. Um, Brian, can you hear me now?
SPEAKER_04Yes, okay, good.
SPEAKER_08Thank God. Yeah, so thank you.
SPEAKER_03I have a question. Wait, did you guys hear me all this one?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, we had you all through. Okay, yeah, we we hear you loud and clear all through. Thank you so much for those um wonderful um devotional teaching this morning. It was a powerful ministration in the sense that all the um Bible passage that was, you know, start that started or that laid the foundation of today, make us to understand the power of the Holy Spirit in our life. All the Roman that was read, it was so powerful for us to know what's the reason and the purpose why you know Jesus gave us this Holy Spirit. Because that was the spirit that raised Jesus from dead. You can imagine how powerful. Because it will be better if we know you know the great work that the Holy Spirit does, then we will be able to give room for the Holy Spirit, or we will be able to let the Holy Spirit take over our life and take over everything that we are doing. So just like you know, the captain that was uh that was you know that that was discussed today, you know, he understands and he also have he believe because many of us still do have this you know um doubt in our mind that is it really holy spirit speaking to me? Is it really, or is it my mind, or is it my thoughts? Is it this? Is it my feelings? Is it this? So, and another thing is for us to pray for discernment of spirit. You know, discernment of spirit will let us to understand when God is actually speaking, when the spirit of God is speaking through us, just like you know, in the case of Samuel, Samuel hasn't recognized the you know the voice of the Holy Spirit. The only voice that he recognized was the you know the voice of Eli. And that's the reason why I said it's really very important for us as a Christian to keep asking God for his spirit, for that discernment of spirit, so we'll be able to differentiate between the voice of God and the voice of our maybe of men and our thoughts. Because this is exactly what can bring the blessings and actually give us the power that we need to overcome all those, you know, you know, all those weaknesses that is out, you know, this this nest that is out there that actually want to keep us bound. So we need to always be praying for discernment of spirit every day in our life. This is really very important. Yes, this is really very important, and that way we can understand the power that we have, that same power that raised Jesus from dead. And this same power also not only you know he's able to perform miracles or whatever it is, it also helps us to have peace within us, peace around us, peace among people that is within us as well. Because, like that Galatian that was read as well, you know, if we pray for the summon of spirits, it will help us, you know, it will make us to understand that it's not every time that you need to respond to situations, it's not every time, and also it will tell us the best way to give answer when situations arise in a way that will bring, you know, you know, peace, you know, just like the beatitude that we're talking about. That's what we've been you know learning for the past two days now, if I'm not mistaken. On the um, what's it called? Um, Bible passage of the day. You know, blessed are those who are meek. Meekness cannot come except the Holy Spirit actually, you know, took over your text over you. You can't you can display meekness, or gentleness, you cannot display it. You know, humility that we are talking about, you cannot display all those things. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that will enable you to display it. Because to the world, the world will look at you that you are foolish, the world will look at you as if you are weak. But when you have the power of the Holy Spirit, that will be what will give you the security. Yes. And that's the reason why I was saying that, you know, you know, talking about the Holy Spirit, most times people want to be able to discern that, oh, I will be able to, I'm able to see the future. Everybody wants to go and prophesy that, oh, tomorrow this is what is going to happen. Oh, the next nation, blah dah, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. This is, you know, that is what we are looking for, but it's far beyond that. It is far beyond that. It's about relationship. Relationship matters most to God. How you relate to your spouse, how you relate to your children, how you relate to your co-worker, how you relate to your you know, members of the church, how you relate to our elders, how we relate to our parents, all these things is what the Holy Spirit are teaching us in the fruits of the spirit. So we because we have been dead. Remember what's you know, the Bible passage that you read, we have been dead to sin. And when we let the Holy Spirit operate in us, that sinful nature, we don't give room to it, we don't fall into that sinful nature any longer. And what are the sinful natures of this world? There are so many of them, it will let us to overlook it without falling into that temptation of the devil or the our or our enemy. So those are the things. So it's a blessing to us and blessing to the people around us because every one of us will live in peace, joy, unity, and love. And that's the main thing why God has given us the spirit of the in the that that only and the Holy Spirit has been given to us in the first instance. Because Jesus says that there is so much wickedness in the world, and that's the reason why he came. Remember, they were using Ten Commandments, the that Ten Commandment could not help out, but He came and gave us the Holy Spirit that when they slap you on one side, you turn the second cheek cheek. May the Lord help us to actually immerse ourselves in that word of God, may the Lord help us to let that discernment of spirit to be speaking for us so we'll be able to be able to discern and also separate ourselves from the fleshy nature of this world. Thank you so much, sir.
SPEAKER_03Thank you very much, it is very important, and I think, like I said, I always go back to the title of our devotion today. It is learn to be led. You know, for us to first to learn to be led, first we have to accept Christ and have a spirit. So now basic, we have we've confessed them, we've received them, and we've received the spirit. But the spirit is you know, it is supposed to lead and guide us, like Christ revealed to us in John 16, onto all truth, so that we can truly live an eternal life. But if we had not alternative, if we had not alert by surrendering, by yielding in a place of prayer, being united with him, then it then we will be crowded by things. The flesh will be the one controlling us. The flesh will be, you know, you know, the things of you know what the world is telling us about the you know, we would even depend on man more than what the spirit, God's spirit itself living in us in Christ Jesus, that is leading. So the call is we have to get to this place, and the only way to get to this place is by surrendering ourselves as a living sacrifice, giving ourselves to God's words, being abiding us, and as we abide in it, and he abides in us, then we know God's will, then we are alert to what the spirit is telling us. Because as the spirit is telling us the the spirit is a one of the revelations I get there, is that means you know the spirit in in the person of the admiral, the spirit's voice became louder than the noise that was around him, because there was always gonna be noise. Let's think about it from a perspective of Peter coming out, coming out, I mean stepping out into the water until the the the the the noise around became louder than what Christ told them. Then that's when it became it drowned. The call is for us for us to be able to truly live an entire life, and that's what Christ came for that. We can truly live, and and living in multiple ways is it flourish, reproductive, be fruitful. That is, and and our fruitfulness, just like Pastor Mr. said, it manifests in our relationship because one of the things in our devotion says he says, if you are a redeemed child of God, the Holy Spirit leaves within you, and it will guide you towards God's blessing for your own life and towards opportunities to bless others, and that is how we can truly live that community that the gift God has given us to equip each other to live an eternal life, not to continue and struggle. God never created us to struggle, we chose struggle, but now God has given us the spirit so that now we can come back in our place of flourishing and blossom, but without being learning to yet the spirit, being led by it and take the step of faith to actually manifest it, then we will keep struggling, and that is why the great conviction and also a hope that we have in our text, and how God will help us. Do we have any other contribution? Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_06Uh, we just thank God for how uh the discussion has gone so far, the scriptures that were brought forth, and uh Pastor Mrs. has further stressed the important thing that we have to be aware of, you know. Um from what you know from experience, I know that you know, uh God there's nothing like partial obedience to obedience is what is required. It's good to know the scriptures, you know, by head, you know, but it has to be working our experience with God, intimacy with God because the Bible says in Corinthians that there are many voices in the world, not without signification. The flesh speaks, the environment speak our situation, circumstances that we may be going to speak, voices from the flesh, from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil speak. So, how are we able to identify the voice of God when God is speaking? That is the issue. So it's for us is total obedience, not partial obedience. When we are able to really obey God over in everything, little things, big things, then that brings intimacy with him. We have that intimacy with him. It's also kind of the place of studying the world, and our devotion, our commitment, our consecration to him, denial to the world, and all. So that actually brings us closer to him. We are able to hear his voice. Remember, the Lord Jesus Christ said that my sheep they hear my voice, they will not follow the voice of the strangers. Every other voice that we hear, they are voice of the stranger. From the flesh is stranger, a virum, stranger, social media, strangers, you know. But he said, But my sheep hear my voice. Sheep, you know, we know the characteristics of sheep. Sheep, you know, they they are obedience, they don't go before their shepherd, it's the shepherd that lives in. So I pray that the Lord will help us to really ye to God. That is just where it comes from. When we're able to ye to Him, obey Him, they will be able to identify when God is speaking to us. You know, I pray that the Lord will help us in Jesus. That's my contribution.
SPEAKER_03Thank you very much, man. It is a it is even central to it because if we say we are we we know these words, and we are not giving ourselves to the word, and that is a great conviction. That's why I said I like our topic today. Say, learn it, it isn't something that we have an apparent, you know, there's no real depth in the knowledge of who God is in our life.
SPEAKER_06For us to know, yeah, we are not hearing you.
SPEAKER_03Hello, yeah.
SPEAKER_08I can hear him.
SPEAKER_03I can hear you. Okay, yeah. So so from from that perspective, you know, there's no real depth, like mommy said, the call is for us to truly surrender to it, to now live out, you know, this his will for our lives. But how can we do it if we're not truly surrendering, like she said, to the word that we are hearing? Because we hear these words, but we don't give, like I said, when I wrote those things, when I read it, when I it was broken down first. Firstly, we surrender and then we yield to God's words in place of meditation and in his presence, then we become allotted, just like Mama said. It said, My sheep knows my voice, right? We become allowed to the true voice, not the enemy's voice. But if we are not giving ourselves in a place of surrendering and yielding to God's word, if we are just reading it so that we can know it, but we are not truly giving ourselves to that word, then we won't be able to be allowed to the right word. One of the revelations that we always talk about, think about Elijah, you know, when the enemy's voice became louder than God's voice, and God told him, send him on it on the path to to to to to to to to to to have another revelation, to have, you know, he said, and he had these mighty things, God's words in there, yeah. That God was in there until he was able to truly hear God's words, and all those noise is noise, but we have to learn that. And as we learn that, then we now have to take the step of faith because we cannot say we are allowed to God's voice and we are not yielding to it. Most of us we hear these voice, but we yield to the flesh or our community. We are eager to just like mommy said, social media, we don't want to follow what they are saying in the world. And you think about the people of Israel, that is the separation, that is a separation from the beginning for us. We want to be conformed to what people are saying, what is happening because we've seen them being successful, but the true success, like you said in the end of what we read in that Romans 8. You see, if we are truly to be his children, then we have to truly be able to suffer with him. And the suffering is just to persevere so that the truth can be made manifest. I'm saying this, but if you think about all those things about the manifestation of flesh, we start to look at ourselves. What are we manifesting? And I hope God will help us. But the call is to learn by yelling. Thank you very much, man. Do we have any other contribution? I think that Sister Tolu was coming up. I don't know, maybe the connection was the issue.
SPEAKER_07Thank you so much, sir. Good morning. Good morning, good morning. Thank you so much for how you've taken this like um all the Bible verses. I'll just be quick. I just wanted to reiterate what you said. Um, this is a um an encouragement for us, a charge for us, a kind of call to action. That's what it is. Call to action. Like you rightly stressed, it's learning. We're not born with it. And we see what it says in the write-up that the admiral, the inner urgent which he has come to recognize as God guiding him. This is not the first time he's encountering this urgent. This is not the first time he's feeling that he's perceiving the Holy Spirit speaking to him. It's uh discipline, a muscle that we build. I know a lot of us might feel very, very um overwhelmed. Like, where do I even start from? How do I get led by the spirit? How do I know is the Holy Spirit talking? This is my flesh, versus my um the environment, all that stuff. You start where you are, so you don't stay where you are. You start with stuff you know based on the word of God. You know, the word of God already told us, for instance, we've not been given the spirit of fear. If you start feeling fear about to talk to somebody, you're like, okay, that is not from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is urging you to speak the gospel, for instance. If you're feeling like you want to start telling a white lie and you feel that um urgent not to do it, okay, that is the line with the word of God. You start small, small, little by little, little by little, based on what you know for sure in the word of God, and then you start building. Even there are some times when you think it's the Holy Spirit speaking in all honesty, and you take a step, you find out that maybe it's not the best, it didn't come out the way you planned it. God causes everything to work together for God. We can trust Him on that. So even in the truth of the matter is sometimes we know that we go by the flesh, but even the depths of your heart, you begin. And you take a step of action that is not against the word of God. Take a step of action. Even if it comes out, it doesn't come out the way you planned it. God is able to use it for good. You will be learning as you're taking steps. You will learn. Sometimes we'll fall. That is fine. We'll get back up again. That's how we start to learn the voice of the Holy Spirit. Like everybody else is also stressed. Yes, we even prayed about it this past week in our morning devotion. Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is awesome. Just as important. Because a lot of us we receive the wisdom, we receive the urgent, but we don't take action. And that ends up dulling the Holy Spirit's voice. Because we listen to the flesh, we listen to the environment. And the more you listen to something, the louder it gets. If you listen to the Holy Spirit more, his voice will become more, you'll be more sensitive to it. If you listen to the flesh more, you'll be more flesh. So like possibly said, we pray for the sermon, we pray for the sensitivity. We also pray that God will grant us that grace to respond, irrespective of what like this writer says. Well-meaning people. There are a lot of well-meaning people in our lives. That is the truth. They love us to death, but they might not be what the Holy Spirit is saying. So we start where we are, so we don't stay where we are. We take small steps as we and we continue to pray to God to help us with discernment and responsiveness. And God will help us in Jesus' name. Thank you.
SPEAKER_03Thank you very much, man. Uh, time is prospered. Uh, until right, Pastor.
SPEAKER_02So thank you so much. Thank you so much, Raya. Thank you, Pastor Mrs. Thank you, man. Thank you, Dr. Luke.
Prayer To Receive Christ
SPEAKER_02Uh, above all things, um, learn to be led by God's spirit. Um, if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you won't know how to take a step at all. Uh, first thing you want to do is give your life to Christ. Uh, you do that, you can do that by repeating after me, if you will. That Lord Jesus have mercy on me. Forgive me of my sin.
SPEAKER_01Every area that I've seen against you, forgive me. Forgive me of my sin today.
SPEAKER_02I confess you as my Lord and personal savior because I believe you're the Son of God. I believe you died, I believe you rose from dead for me. And if you say that prayer, we pray that the Holy Spirit falls upon you. Holy Spirit start leading you and direct you in the pathway of righteousness in the name of Jesus. Look for a Bible-believing church close to you. Tell them if accepted Christ and they walk with you. If you can find a church, go on the internet, type parch.org. You will find a redeemed Christian church of God close to you. Tell them if accepted Christ and they walk with you. For the rest of us, I like the statement that Brior keeps making, that we learn it. We learn it. We learn to be led by Him. Uh, that statement is very, very important because uh one thing is that we were born into sin. The Bible said that we were taught a lot of things that are against what God wants us to do. We know all of those things, and those things that become part and parcel of us. But uh Romans chapter 12, verse 2 says we should not be confirmed to those things, but we should make effort to transform our mind by renewal through the word of God. So if we're not in the word of God, we cannot learn to walk with God. It's the word of God that helps the Spirit of God remind us of what God wants us to do. So we need to make effort to not be confirmed to the things that we're used to, not to just ignore the part of that life that we are living, and then so it's okay. Oh, I'm falling today, tomorrow I fall again, the next day I fall again, without making determine in our heart that this falling, God take it away from me. And that is where we want to start for like Statu said. Look at where we are weak, look at what we are doing. Is that the right thing? When Paul encountered Christ, he took time out from everything that he was doing before. And he went and got a renewal of heart, renewal purpose, and start working, learning how to walk that step. It's not easy, but determination, with intentionality, we can do it. We can hear God, but we must learn to say we will not give in to those things that we know that it's regular. We're born into them. We see them every day. We're prone to know them, to do those things. So to fight them, we must surrender to God. And the God will give us that enablement to surrender to Him so we can win. Because God wants us to win. That's why He loves us. That's why He pulls us to Himself. But we must intentionally go to His Word so His Word can do the cleansing of our hearts, and we will not continue to do things that will keep us away from Him. But rather, Holy Spirit teaches us the way that God wants us to go, and we will go by it in the name of Jesus.
Final Charge And Closing Prayer
SPEAKER_02Father, thank you for your son and everybody that you've used this morning. Lord, I pray that every area, every virtue that have come out of them, Father, replenish them back in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We haven't gotten anywhere yet. We're still learning and how to walk right. We're still walking, we're still learning how to live right. We're still learning how to do things that you want us to do. This morning, we surrender again to your hand. Teach us well. Holy Spirit, don't leave us alone. Every area of our weakness, Lord, help us to get out of those weaknesses. Every area that we are struggling, Lord, help us to take us out of that struggle. Father, we want to do your will. Our heart desire to do your will. Every weakness in us, Father, we surrender them to you. Father, give us strength to overcome those challenges. Is it in the weakness of prayer? Lord, give us strength. In the week of freedom, studying your word, give us strength. In the way of fellowship with you, give us strength in the way of acknowledging and discerning when you speak and where you're not speaking. Give us strength. In the area where the flesh is over overwhelmingly, want to make us to sin. Father, give us strength so that we can overcome those temptations in the mighty name of Jesus. The rest of the day is in your hand. We pray you will guide us. Holy Spirit, reveal more of yourself to us. Teach us more of yourself as we're yearning towards you. Reveal more of yourself to us. So at the end of the day, Lord, we have the cause to glorify your name in Jesus' mighty name. We have prayed. Amen. Amen. Let us share the grace. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
SPEAKER_08Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
SPEAKER_02And we dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen. Amen. I am the one the Lord has blessed, so shall it be in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you so much, Brian. Thank you, everybody. God bless you. Remember, we're we're living in the world that is corrupt. We're born into this world, and God wants to take us out of it to Himself. We must learn to not follow the precept of the world, but follow the precept that God set before us. May God help us to do that in Jesus' name. God bless you all. Have a wonderful day. Thank you. Thank you.
