"Overcome evil with good".

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Ro 12:21 NKJV

During the Korean War, a South Korean civilian was arrested by the communists and ordered to be shot. When the young communist leader learned that the prisoner in his charge was the head of an orphanage caring for young children, he decided to spare him. Instead, he ordered the execution of the man's son. The nineteen-year-old son was shot in the presence of his father. After the war, the young communist leader was captured by United Nations forces and condemned to death. But before the sentence could be carried out, the Christian whose son had been killed pleaded for the life of the killer.

He argued that the communist had been young when he ordered the execution, and that he really didn't know what he was doing. "Give him to me," the man requested, "and I will train him." Unusual though it was, the United Nations forces granted his request, and the father took the murderer of his son into his own home and took care of him. The Bible says, "Love never fails" (1Co 13:8 NKJV).

And by being exposed to the love of God, that young communist leader became a Christian and eventually went on to become the pastor of a church. Have you been hurt, betrayed, or treated unfairly? Instead of retaliating in anger, handle it scripturally: "Never pay back evil with more evil...Never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, 'I will take revenge; I will pay them back,' says the Lord...Don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good" (Ro 12:17, 19, 21 NLT).

"Overcome evil with good" "Never take revenge."

Opening Prayer And Surrender

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. Thank you, Lord. Because of you that we can gather. It is not based on the fact that we set this time aside. It is by your love, your loving kindness and graciousness that we can gather. Father, we exalt you. We give you all glory. Father, come and take your place in our fellowship this morning. Let your kingdom come, O Lord. Let your will be done on earth the way it's done in heaven. Father, we give you all our hearts. And so we pray for your for your word, for our daily body, the equipment to be able to seek and abide and remain in you, the equipment to be able to live an eternal life in honor of your glorious name. Father, this is what we pray for. We plead the blood of Jesus onto this medium and also our heart to be made anew so that we can truly live a life of purpose, honoring you, O Lord. Thank you, Father, for this time. But I come and reveal your mind and will to us and the equipment to be able to be doers of this, not just hearers or speakers of it, but to manifest it in honor of your glorious name. Thank you, Father, for who you are in Jesus' most precious name. We pray. Amen. Amen.

Theme For Today: Overcome Evil

SPEAKER_02

Good morning, everyone today. It is morning. Good morning, sir. Good morning, everyone. Today's a special um, you know, another topic that is fairly in line with what we've discussed when you think about some of the key notes that we've discussed in our in our devotion this week. It is very important. You know, you know, Tuesday was like tell the truth. You know, the the yesterday was God has given you a seat or so, he's giving us an equipment to be able to live an eternal life. Then the previous days, the Sunday and Monday, was about you know how to make anger work for us. Today is for us to overcome evil with good. Overcome evil with good. The call is for us not to be overcome by evil. And the way to now do it, it is to be united with God and respond with the goodness of God. You know, these terms of overcome evil with good, it is a reflection of who our God is. You know, one of the things that Jesus used to, you know, revealed while on earth to the people, and it was that he separated it, like, you know, God is the one that is good. So if we are manifesting and revealing goodness out of the abundance of God's goodness, we are his sons. We are revealing the character and the attributes of our father, you know, and you know, Christ is to separate it. Like if you continue to manifest these acts of evil and wickedness, that you are you know revealing the true characters of your own father, and it is in the place of our response, really. That's why I said if you go back to our topic on Sunday, not to let Sunday and Monday not to let you know, how to be able to not let anger control us, but to yield to God, and that is very important for us to be able to, you know, in a in a way for us to be able to reflect who we are and you know our father also. One of the texts that I want to quickly read before we go into breaking down our devotion today, it is in the book of read that e read Matthew 5, 43 to 48, or read the book of Luke 6, 27, 36. Let's quickly read that Luke 6, and even that Matthew, we can read it by ourselves. Oh, if you have time

Luke 6: Love Enemies In Practice

SPEAKER_02

today, I can also read it. Luke 6. I'll read from verse 27, and it says here. But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who cause you, pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If also if someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. Give to anyone who asks, and when things are taken away from you, don't try to get them back. Do to others as you would like them to do to you. If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much. And if you learn money only to those who can repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners for full return. Love your enemies, do good to them, learn to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as the children of the most high, for he's kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your father is compassion. So it's a reflection for us to do good, is a reflection of who we trust in, who our God is, who our father is. Because, like he said here in verse 35, it says you in verse 35, he said, You will truly be acting as children of the most high, for he's kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You know, it's a you know, when you think about the book of Romans, when we were utterly helpless, Christ came. So you know, it didn't over it in repay us with our ill, he repaid us by giving himself for us. So for us, if we act in his manner, then we are reflecting who our father is, and that is why it is important in our response. One of the things when I was trying to prepare for this, is it you know, we know what overcome means, you know, it is to conquer, but in these specific ways to conquer evil with good. There's a you know, for us to be able to overcome something, you know, there has to be, you know, like you know, we we we there has to be an anti, you know, there has to be something that we do to be able to overwhelm or overcome anything. Is it is it overcome is to successfully defeat, to overcome, to conquer, or master, or gain control over obstacles or adversary or difficult feeling in it after a struggle. When you think about it, in our this particular place, a evil is our adversary for us to be able to successfully defeat or master it, it is very important that you know we choose how we respond. But that is out of the abundance of the earth, you know, the mouth speaks. If evil is inside of us, what we will return, it is evil too, and that is why we are called to truly yield to God, to you know, to submit ourselves underneath his mighty power, to humble ourselves so that we are equipped to be able to, you know, is it's not like we're not uh aware of the schemes of the enemy, but how are we gonna overcome it? How are we gonna conquer it? It is by giving ourselves to God so that we ourselves, the seeds that is in us, are true good seeds. In the book of uh Ephesians for the revelation that is for us to get rid of you know, all you know, uh

Ephesians 4: Anger Without Sin

SPEAKER_02

let's read Ephesians for read from verse 26 of Ephesians 4. It says, And don't sin by letting anger control you, don't let the sound go down while you're still angry. For anger gives foothold to the devil, right? And it gives foothold, you know, as it then said if you're a thief, quote still, and if you use he said use your hands for good, hard work, and then give generously to others in. Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be say be good and helpful, so that the words so so your words will be an encouragement to those you hear them, and do not bring sorrow to the Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get the verse 31 is what I'm going to get rid of all the bitterness, the rage, the anger, the ashworth, the slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. For us to be able to respond kindly, we will need to get rid of this in verse 31. Get rid of all this bitterness, this evil behavior that is in us, and instead live a life of peace and forgiveness out of the abundance of what Christ has done for us. That is our response. You say to conquer evil with God with good, it is by choosing to respond with kindness, grace, and love. It is by choosing our response. So let's go into uh the uh our text

Romans 12: Refuse Revenge

SPEAKER_02

today. The text is taken from the book of Romans 12. And you know, every time I read the book of Romans 12, it is inspiring because there's multiple things, and you know, we always start the first set of verses, but today I will start from verse 14. And it is important. We can read the old verse again for ourselves, but verse 14 is always I'll start for today in to to focus on our topic. It says, Bless those who persecute you. I know one of the things over the past week we talked about beatings and all that. It said, Bless those who persecute you, don't curse them, pray that God will bless them. In verse 15, be happy with those who are happy and weep with those who weep, live in harmony with each other. Every time I think about this particular Romans tour, it is giving us a way to be able to leave the calling and live in line with God's will and purpose. So, like we said in that book of Luke 6 and also the book of Matthew 5, it is to reflect who our true father is. When you think about Romans 8, the reflection was that if we are led by the Spirit, we are his children. And for us to be able to manifest and reveal this character and attributes, we also need. And you know, we we need God to be leading us, and we will manifest and reveal this also. He says, live in harmony with each other, don't be too proud to enjoy the company of other ordinary people and don't think you know it all. Never pay back evil with more evil, do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Verse 17 is key in our topic today, you know. But how can we truly leave that out by not paying back? You know, if you know, we you know, if we ourselves we have not fully given ourselves, you know, we have not fully received God's forgiveness because God has not paid us back what we truly deserve. He has given himself for us to be able to fulfill that, you know, the to to fulfill because he's also a just God. He said, never pay evil with more evil. The call for us to conquer um evil with good or overcome evil with good, it is to break that that chain of ill by responding in a way that because if we continue in that thing by repaying with more evil, then that the enemy continue, our adversary continues in that same vein and you know eager, eager eagers to be successful because we have already continued to use the enemy's weapons and equipment while we can reflect God's kindness and goodness in this place. So do all do all that you can to live in peace with everyone, dear friends, never take revenge, leave that to the righteous anger of God. For scripture says, I will take revenge, I will pay them back, says the Lord. Instead, if your enemies are hungry, just like we read in this book of Luke 6, and also that book of Matthews 5, we're reading by ourselves. You know, if your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing so, you will eat burning coals of shame on their heads. And verse 21 don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. The call is for us to not overcome, do not be overcome by evil. The call is for us to master it also, and to overcome evil by doing good. So let's go into

Korean War Story Of Radical Mercy

SPEAKER_02

our devotion. It says here, during the Korean War, a South Korean civilian was arrested by the communist and ordered to be shot. When the young communist leader learned that the prisoner in his charge was the head of an orphanage caring for young children, he decided to spare him. Instead, he ordered the execution of the man's son. When I think when I thought about when I was reading this, I was more confused than I've understanding. In his place, you know, the gentleman found that you know there was still something buried deep in this person, even though even though he was in a bad place, but his response was more damaged than good. You know, he found that this man was the head of an orphanage, but he did more vile things than even thinking like he spared man's life in this place. But God is in the business of reconciliation as we go further. He said the 19-year-old son was shot in the presence of his father. After the war, the young communist leader was captured by the United Nations forces and condemned to death. But before the sentence could be carried out, the Christian, whose son had been killed, pleaded for the life of the killer. He argued that the communists had been young when he ordered the execution, and that he really did not know what he was doing. Give him to me, the man requested. And I would train him. Unusual though, unusual though it was, the United Nations forces granted his request, and the father took the mother, murderer of his son into his home and took care of him. Hallelujah. What is our response? That is a great question to me. I think about it. You know, it's easy to read things out, it's easy to talk about things, you know. What is our response? So when you think about where we started from today in verse 14, it says, Bless those who persecute you, don't cost them. Pray that God will bless them. How do we truly feel? What is our response? And that has to do it, and even now, if we feel bitterness, if you feel, even as we're reading it, that we're not even this person, and if something that something that is God is bringing up to our heart, it is a great, even it is a conviction, but it's also it goes showcasing his mercy, like you said in the book of James, God's word is like a mirror that we can see truly, you know, our damaged that we are, or how we or whatever God is bringing to the surface, then we also can bring it to him. Because when I was reading it, what was coming out of my mind? Well, what was I gonna get? Am I in can I be in a famous reference of this gentleman? And also, I want to read before we move on, we'll read the book of First Peter. Like I

1 Peter 3: Bless Instead Of Retaliate

SPEAKER_02

said, this is the template. He said, all we're right now to reflect the kind of because just imagine Christ, our God. We you know, like we put him to death, even though he came to save us, even though God gave us life, we denied him, but he still showed us, he didn't repay us for the evil that we committed, and the reflection of these character we're talking about, he's represented his true father. In first Peter 3, I read from verse 8. I like the way neoliberal translation prayer. It is a call. It's a all Christians, it's a finally, all of you should be of one mind, sympathize with each other, love each other as brothers and sisters, be tender-hearted and keep a humble attitude. Don't repay evil for evil, don't retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing. For the scripture says, if you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil. I mean, you think about this character we're talking about. What he did is that even as you as usual, though he was, they granted him his request. His request was for somebody that tortured him and he was in his camp. And he eventually killed his own son, even though he felt like he showed mercy, but he did more worse and vowed than him. See, and he took the murder of his son into his own and took care of him. The Bible says, love never fails. Hallelujah. In First Corinthians 13:8. Love never fails. I mean, think about you know who God is in a lot. He never fails. Well, how can we get to that place? And that is the call for us today. For us to conquer evil with good, to overcome it, to master it, to not let it take hold over us, to not let the like you said in that first Sunday and Monday, to not let the root of business take hold, to not let the enemy take hold, you know, take have a foothold in our lives. And being exposed to the love of God, that young communist later became a Christian and eventually went to become a pastor of a church. Are you being hurt, betrayed, or treated unfairly? Instead of retaliating in anger, and do it scripturally. Never pay evil, never pay back evil with more evil. Never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the scripture says, I will take revenge. I will pay them back, says the Lord. Don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. In the book of Romans 12, 17, 19, and 21. Now like we just read call is force subjective, and not let it take root in us. You know, I think we have time that we can read that book of Matthew 5.

Matthew 5: The Higher Standard

SPEAKER_02

It's just exactly almost exactly like what was revealed to us in the book of Matthew. I mean Luke 6, but another way of looking at it. Matthew 5, I read from verse 43. And it says, teaching about love for enemies. And I hope God will reveal more to us in that. It's a you've heard the law that says, love your neighbor and eat your enemy. Most of the time, you know, we have justification. You know, these particular characters we're talking about, he has every reason based on the laws that were set by men. But when you think about our relationship with Christ, you know, it is not it was it didn't relate with us based on the laws that are said by us. It came with a higher standard of mercy and graciousness. But how can we get to that? How can we get to a place where we can break the circle of evil instead of perpetrating more Evil by repaying evil with doing ill things, like you said here. Say you have heard the Lord that says, Love your neighbor and eat your enemy, because he's a your enemy, right? So if we live in a place of perpetual hate, anger, and bitterness, and you know, we think about the world that we are now. People hate people, people we hate each other based on where we're from, based on how we look. But how are we going to short circuit the evil by revealing God's character? It is for us for ourselves to overcome and conquer the ill that we have in our own hearts by giving ourselves to Christ and yielding in him so that these we can take out these feels, like we said in the book of Ephesians, for that we can you know get rid of Ephesians 4 verse 31. Get rid of all these feels and you know, be able to now yield yourself to be able to be filled with God's goodness and spirit and love and kindness and grace. Like you said, it said, it's your enemy. But I say, love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you. In that way, you will be acting as the true children of your father in heaven. Hallelujah. For he gives this sunlight to both the evil and the good, and it sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even the corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even the pagans do that, but you are to be perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect. Hallelujah. The goal is to become more and more like Christ, and the reflection of that it is by love, like he said here. It says in 1 Corinthians 13, love never fails, true love. Because if we can reflect on what God has done for us in Christ Jesus, then we should be able to, you know, yield and let his love over well almost in a place of mercy and forgiveness. Because if you know, Christ revealed it, he says it's too much who is giving you know to he said he talked about those who are forgiving much, they appreciate it more. I mean, think about what God used his character to do in the life of the communist leader that did vile things. Think about it. And think about us in case of Christ, how you know, based on our wickedness, but he decided to give himself to us, and I hope God will continue to reveal more to us. The only way for us to shut such short circuit evil is to do good, it is to respond in a way that breaks the trail and the chain of evil, and to be able to respond. It is our response with kindness, grace, and love, just like God will. Like he said in this book, he says, in that way, in verse 45, Matthew 5, 45, you'll be acting as true children of your father in heaven. Hallelujah. Overcome evil with good.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, hallelujah. Good morning,

Self-Examination And A Renewed Mind

SPEAKER_06

sir. Good morning, everyone. Thank you so much for how the devotion has been uh taken. God bless you, have more grace in Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_06

Uh-huh. When I read this this morning, it sets me thinking, you know, when you mentioned the fact that it was like one was a little more is more like a confusion. Ah, what's happening here? You you understand. But when I read it, I I I it came to me that um it takes a renewed mind, a completely renewed mind. A mind where the heart of stone has been removed completely and is full of flesh. And I started thinking, I'm sorry, it's gonna be like a self-examination, what I'm going to talk about. And and I and I started thinking, and I said, Do you have a renewed mind? I was talking to myself when I was thinking of the things. I said, Ah, I think so. If you are in it, I mean, in position of this ban, would you have uh what would you do? How would you handle it? And I was being honest with myself, honestly. I said, Okay, um, maybe I will forgive. I will forgive him, but take him into my house and take care of him. I'm not there yet. I don't think so. I don't think so. And he the thing kept coming to me that and you say you love, you know, and you say you love. I say, Yes, I love, I try to love, I love, that's why I have forgiven, but I will put him at an arm's length. I will not wish him evil, but take him into my house. Ah, I don't know whether I could do such a thing. And I looked at it and I said, would this really have happened? Or the writer is just talking about uh uh what we can call uh a reflection of the person of God, you know, that we killed Christ and all that, and yet he came for us, but we are the one that murdered him. After murdering him, he still sent us the Holy Spirit, that is a hand of fellowship, you know. I was so I was overwhelmed in my thoughts that I started thinking that okay, they talk of overcomers. Who are these overcomers? Who will overcome? Because it means this man has overcome, and so he's made up his mind to pay good for evil. Thank you for those passages that you read, especially. I think that um is it Ephesians? Um, I mean the Romans 12. Thank you for it. I say, ha. When you were reading it again, I looked at it, I said, yeah, surely I will forgive anybody who does that. But I see it as a call. It's a call for us to step up. It's good to forgive, but it's calling us to the state of an overcomer that we will really, really not just mountain it. I love you, or I have forgiven you, or I want to behave like Christ, or I have compassion, or I have the fruit of the spirit, whatever, whatever is calling us to really become overcomers. And in my thinking, I went to think about Joseph too, and I said, Well, it means it is possible that we can do it. We can do it, but we still need a higher level of yieldedness. I am not there yet. When I finished reading, I started praying and I said, God, take me to higher ground. This is what they are saying. This is the call to higher ground for every one of us. And I think we could begin to practice it. I mean, in the devotional, you know, the the guy's son was killed by somebody and he took that person in. It looks almost impossible to me, to me as a person, you know. But you see, this one, there are other little, little things that we can begin to practice even before we get to this other level. So, what is my what's my submission? Whatever anybody might have done to us, I think is calling us to become overcomers. And I went to look for the meaning of overcomer so that I really bring it home to myself. And I saw this that is someone who successfully conquers, prevails, or rises above adversity, hardship, or difficult circumstance. Who successfully, and the only way that we can do it is by the help of the Holy Spirit. I pray that God will take us to this higher level in Jesus' name. Thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Amen. Thank you very much, man. Thank you. And I think, you know, just exactly what you said, man. Thank you very much. Whatever this is bringing to our heart, and I think about myself, like I said, it's a reflection also. The conviction that this God, like this, is a God, God's words like a mirror. What is bringing to our heart right here? And I and we let's think about it from it from Christ's point of view, from God's point of view, about the evil that we we've committed. It's when we're utterly helpless, Christ came to die for us. It wasn't why we tried to do a little bit of good, nah. When we were wicked and helpless and hopeless, he showed up. And for us to truly manifest his character, his will as our father, if we have said we are ease, then this is a call for us to grow in the knowledge of who is and reflect his character. Like I said, whatever is bringing is a great thing because for us, we can be in denial, we can feel that okay, at least I don't do this, I don't do you think about all this for receiving, I don't do this, but to accept these convictions that is coming to art, it is a great, it is of great importance for us to understand that have we been utilizing the enemy's weapons, or have we been manifesting God's will in our lives and community? And I think that is evil for that is good for us because we we are breaking the circle of violence and ill by reflecting God's character. Another text I would like to read here, every time I think about this text, it is a great conviction to my heart. And this is what the Holy Spirit is doing for us, and that is why we've been called when we fellowship, when we yield in a place. I like when you say higher yieldingness. It's an higher level that God is right. Like I said, you know, it was a you've heard about this, you've heard about loving. No, now this is this is another level in that book of Matthew. Okay, we've heard about love your neighbor, I hate you. Now, now love even the people that despise you. That is an higher level that God is getting. So in the book

Genesis 4: Master Sin At The Door

SPEAKER_02

of Genesis, for I I I don't want to take time since we have people that is gonna. I read from verse six, and this we know the story, so there's no need to talk about the cane and arrow story. It's a and god was reflecting, revealing something to Cain. He said, Why are you so angry? The Lord asking, Why do you look so dejected? In verse 7, it will be accepted if you do what is right, but if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out. Seeing is crouching at the door, eager to control you, but you must subdue it and be his master to conquer, to overcome it. We have to subdue, just like all the definitions. Mommy said, and uh in in reflection, as we're talking about, to successfully defeat, to master, to gain control over an obstacle or adversary, especially our adversary, the you know, the uh the the enemy of our soul, the accuser of the brethren. He's crafting at the door, eager to control you, but you must subdue it and be his master. Just like he said, we can't do this by ourselves. Christ already revealed to us that this will we will never accomplish this. The call is for us to be united as we become more and more, as we give ourselves, then we then we can get rid of all this filth and truly receive the equipment to be able to live the life God has called us of goodness, a life of goodness. Thank you very much. More contributions.

SPEAKER_04

Any other contribution?

SPEAKER_05

Thank you so much. Thank you so much, friends. Um, I like all those passages that was being you know touched on today, that's been using for every one of us, in order for us to stay and also to um you know uh represent Christ the way he actually wanted us to be to to you know the way he wants us to be exhibiting our lives every time, and uh basically that's what today is all about. And thank God that you brought you know the Monday one we talked about about anger, you touch on it a little bit, and yesterday was talking about lying tongue, you know, and uh today he's talking about forgiveness. Basically, that's what he's talking about because he doesn't want us to overcome evil by evil, but he wants us to overcome evil with good. So basically, it's talking about forgiveness, and I like what mommy was saying because honestly, when I read it too, I look at it, I was like, can I do can I do this to the point that you know, bringing that same, I can forgive the person, you know, like okay, but bringing the person back to my house to live with me, I don't think I've gotten to that level, you know, but that's the level that God wants us to get to, and that's the reason why this topic was brought to us. Yeah, that's the reason why this topic, because many, you know, if we look at it very well, every every every one of us has experienced someone, you know, you know that stepped on our toes that really touches us. And I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone, all the teachers on this um devotional every day, because it was on this devotional that understand the magnitude of you know, when you forgive, and the magnitude of unforgiveness. Because both of them have advantage, and uh, you know, they have um the other um um forgiving has higher advantage. And if you don't forgive, the disadvantage is there. And on it was on this line, I think about a couple of years ago, there was something that I mentioned on this, you know, um um devotional concerning, you know, when I was growing up, when I was in college, what my sister did to me, and I'm like, I'm not going to forgive her. But on this devotional changed me, I can't remember which year was it, maybe 20, maybe 21. I can't remember. And it touches me, and that's how it is. It is through that word of God that we are hearing every day that is transforming us, and we start praying for grace from God. Even if we can't do it before, if you start asking God for grace, then you will now see that yes, you can do it. Like the way we are saying that, oh, I don't know if I can bring you know that boy to my house. If we ask for grace and if we give ourselves to the power of the Holy Spirit, we find out that we can do it too. Because for me to forgive what my sister did to me when I was in college on this same devotional, on this line, you know, so which means there's nothing we cannot for we you know that we can't let go, we can still let go. But with all the Bible passage that Brior read today, ah if there is anything that we're holding, if there is someone that we've been holding offstage, that we said, I'm not going to let go, because this person did so much to me, God lets go. Because the Bible makes us understand that when we are dead in sin, when we're dead, as in dead and sin, we all know how God cannot stand, you know, we stand sin. God cannot, he cannot stand sin at all, but he still came and died for us. So this is speaking something to us. I don't know what that person might have done to you, brothers and sisters on this line, and all those people that will be listening to me later. Please, no matter what, no matter the situation, no matter the offense, no matter the offense, please let's forgive because when we forgive, we are actually saving ourselves. Yes, we are not just saving the person, but you save yourself, you save yourself, and I pray that the Lord will help us in the mighty name of Jesus. I will stop there.

Thank you very much. It

Forgiveness Frees The One Forgiving

is key, like I said, if the way I was reading it, I am very it is I and thank God for for our fellowship. There's something that is coming on the surface as we see this the passion, you know, when you feel what these persons are, and we're now related to our own lives, whatever God is bringing, whatever thing that is, you know, that's I like the word, you know, Christ already revealed, just like you said, Christ revealed that there will be offense. There will be. As in, if we think, oh, we even we offend people, and most importantly, we we've we we've fallen short of God's standard, and we pray for grace and mercy. The call for us is to break the circuit of ill by first accepting God's goodness and forgiveness and being able to now manifest and reveal it to other people. It is not easy. It is not easy, but God is giving us equipment. He said, He has given us all we need to live an eternal life, just like we read in the book of Genesis 4. God was the one telling like dude, these bitterness because of a lack of acceptance of doing the right thing, it will lead you to do evil things. The important thing is let us give, let us yield to God's goodness, and let us ex let his love overwhelm us for us to be able to manifest his graciousness. It is not easy, like you say. But we offend people, we've offended God. We used to offend and we pray for mercy every day. Let us show keys, let us embrace his forgiveness, let us reveal it to other people. And I hope God will help us. Thank you very much, man. That is key, forgiveness. Do we have any uh contribution?

SPEAKER_04

If we don't have um good morning, thank you so much for thank you for everyone um as has contributed. Um this important thing is very serious and because grace and dedication to be able to achieve this because humanly is not possible. Humanly is difficult humanly is sorry humanly is difficult, sorry Humanly is difficult to get it done, but he's safe.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think Brad Bright is at work and um yeah, thank thank you so much, Raya.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you. I think uh I've I'll be in that same line that Brad Bright was talking about. This is heavy. This is heavy. Um if we if we look at the story of this man, yeah, it is very, very heavy. So the eyes of the plateau um of God's expectation. And if we say we can not do it, we are deciding ourselves. If we cannot do it, God won't give us the grace. Jesus Christ is our perfect example, spite of everything that we did to him. He got there, he did it, and he overcome it. And when the Bible is talking about overcoming, those that overcome, they are the ones that we sit with him in heaven. Um most of the time we look at overcoming um in the challenges that we face on the face of the earth, like achievements, like um little things that we want to get done. Oh, I overcome that, or I win that race, or I get that promotion, or I get that bit. I also was challenging, but I get that. Those are what things that we're looking for. But what about those things that matters to God that you expect of us to overcome? Uh, forgive those who hurt you because your father in heaven has forgiven them. Um, those that despitefully use you, um, forgive them. Do not those things, those are the overcoming that way. If that overcome the world, what is the world that God is talking about? The evil, the world is evil. If you can overcome the world with good, then you are actually on God's side. This thing is heavy, and I pray. Thank you so much. My lord of Pastor Mrs. and every contributor. This is heavy, and I want us to go back and read it over again and listen to it again and look at ourselves to say, if somebody can do this, what about those little, little things that people have done to me that I'm holding in my heart? Actually, you're not holding people captive, you're holding yourself captive. Let's get that quiet. Because if you if you're holding anybody in your heart and you have any evil against anybody, you're only the one that gets hurt. Because most of the time, people that you think that you're upset with, they already move on. You're the one that's still sitting in the agony of holding things in yourself. Yeah, you're the only one that's getting aggravated because everybody else that you think, oh, oh, this person hurt me, and you're holding them against you, oh the one drinking the poison because they already move on. So I think we need to get to that level of understanding that God, if God can forgive us, how much who are we? Who gave us the authority, who gave us that power to say we are going to owe somebody else of not forgiving them? And that's the reason why God is actually talking to us in the Lenke today. Simple, very slow, very smooth talk to us today. That do not let evil overcome you, but you overcome evil with good because there is profit in it, and the profit in it is not small profit, it's not something that you will only enjoy on this face of the earth, it's something that you enjoy eternally because then you become an overcomer, you become that person that's giving what they don't expect. Somebody that's that that did something wrong to you, what did they expect from you? For you to do evil back. But you, if you don't do evil back, you go higher than their evil. What do you think you're doing? You pointing them into a direction of who God is in your life. But if you ditches to them, they say the teacher to you, they say you're part of us, you're just as evil as we are. But if you do good, then you exhibit in the character of God in you. Then, per adventure, you will convert somebody to Christ. You will make that person become a pastor, you make that person to even win more soul. Because you have won that person to Christ. May God take us there. It's not easy. We don't let deceive ourselves, it's not easy, it's not an easy task. That's why I say it is heavy. But when we start thinking of it and be critique of ourselves, don't let anybody criticize you. Be critiques of yourself. Is anger controlling you? If anger is controlling you, then you need to start taking control of that anger. You need to start taking control of that anger to say, no, you're not going to take this. You're elevating yourself over God's word in my life because God is a God of peace. God is a God of gentleness. God is a God that allows self-control. So I'm controlling you. I'm not going to let you push me to do evil. And God will take us there in

Invitation To Christ And Next Steps

the mighty name of Jesus. If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are in the hand of the enemy. It will be tossing you here and there because you need the Spirit of God to guide you to overcome those challenges. All you have to do this morning is repeat after me, if you will. That Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I know I have been dealing with this issue of unforgiving. But Lord, forgive me. I believe you are the Son of God. I believe you died for me. I believe you rose from dead for me. This morning, I confess you as my Lord and personal savior. And if you say that prayer, congratulations because your Holy Spirit, we pray that the Holy Spirit falls upon you, the Holy Spirit start guiding you and start directing you and start walking the deepest of your heart to bring you to that level of understanding the character of God in the name of Jesus Christ. Look for a Bible-believing church close to you. Tell them if accept your Christ and they walk with you. If you can find a church, go on the internet. Type rccg.org. RccCG.org, you will find a redeemed Christian church of God close to you. Tell them if accept Christ and they walk with you. If you can't find a church, go on the internet. Type rccg.org. RccCG.org, you will find a redeemed Christian Church of God close to you. Tell them if accept Christ and they walk with you. But for the rest of us, um it sounds simple, but it's not simple. Monilada per se, the person has gets to that level, higher level of of uh uh, I don't remember the word that she used, higher level of sanctification, something of such. Higher level of dedication, of commitment, of surrendering to God, that God, yes, you're the owner of my life. Whatever comes my way, I know all things work together for good. To those that love you, those that are called according to his purpose. That's the level that God wants us to go. Surrendering to him. Whatever case may be, he is in charge, not you. But if you take charge, then God will be out of the case. May God not

be out of our case in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, we thank you for your son and every contributor that you've used this morning. Lord, we are still working in progress in your hand. This is uh tough things to do. Uh, but you've instructed us that if people slap us on one side, we should turn the other cheek. Uh, you've asked us, if they ask for our clothes, we should give them our sandals. And you've told us that even if they despitefully use us, we should pray for them. Lord, all of these things are very hard, even in this human flesh. But by your spirit, we know we can get this done. Lord, we're asking for the Holy Spirit to overwhelm our hearts that whenever any evil thoughts want to rise, Holy Spirit will convince us to cast those thoughts down in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Every spirit of anger that wants to be controlling us from doing evil, Lord, we surrender them to you today. Give us the enablement to control them and bring them down in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, the rest of the day is in your hand. We ask that you will guide us. We've heard about this word today. We will be tempted of the enemy, that you will bring something to our way today. Father, we pray that Lord, you will quicken our hearts to not react according to the will of the enemy, but we will react according to your word today, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Guide our step, direct our path, and give us the enablement to forgive those who hurt us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, everlasting Father, in Jesus' mighty name. We have prayed. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let us share the grace by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The love of God is the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_07

Of the Holy Spirit, be with us now forevermore. Amen. Surely shall follow the days of the days of my life. In the house of the Lord. Forever and ever. Amen. I'm the one that the Lord has blessed. So shall it be in the in Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you so much, Brian, for letting thank you, everybody, for joining. Uh, it's easy to get angry, but it's the grace of God that helps us to overlook anger. Let's seek the grace of God. It is very easy. The flesh will react. But when we take a pulse, a chill pill, and ask for help, God will provide the grace. And may God give us the grace always to overcome every evil way that may come our ways in Jesus' name. God bless you. Have a wonderful day. Thank you.
